Project narrative
The SBI Gram Seva Project is an integrated rural development initiative aimed at improving the quality of life of vulnerable rural communities through interventions in education, healthcare, sanitation, livelihoods, infrastructure, youth empowerment, and natural resource management.
The project strengthens access to quality education through smart classrooms, science and computer laboratories, remedial education, Anganwadi strengthening, scholarships, girls' education initiatives, and digital learning facilities. Healthcare interventions include mobile medical services, health camps, referral support, and preventive healthcare awareness.
The programme promotes sustainable agriculture, livestock development, skill development, women-led enterprises, and entrepreneurship. It also supports community-led waste management, watershed development, farm ponds, environmental awareness, and youth development through training centres, computer education, career guidance, and fitness programmes.
Through community participation and convergence with government programmes, the project works towards creating self-reliant, healthy, and resilient villages.
