Project narrative
The Common Ground Initiative promotes decentralized, inclusive, and sustainable landscape restoration while strengthening the livelihoods of women and marginalized rural communities.
The initiative brings together government institutions, community organisations, civil society, Farmer Producer Organizations, Self-Help Groups, and local leaders to strengthen collaboration, participatory planning, and collective decision-making.
The programme promotes sustainable natural resource management, forest conservation, water security, and climate-resilient development. Through awareness campaigns, community mobilisation, and local leadership development, communities are encouraged to participate actively in protecting natural resources and addressing local development challenges.
Multi-actor platforms, consultations, workshops, and policy dialogue strengthen institutional collaboration and coordinated action for landscape restoration and inclusive rural development.
